Kureiji brings Japanese culture to Lisbon turning dining into a playful lifestyle experience.
The studio was invited to design the visual identity for a new izakaya in Lisbon, inspired by Japanese culture and a journey the founder and chef took through Japan.
Named Kureiji — meaning “crazy” — the concept sparked the creation of a bold samurai character that captures the spirit of this lively tavern. The identity blends cultural references with a contemporary edge, featuring custom illustrations across light boxes, neon signage, menus, letterboards, and staff uniforms. Even the t-shirts were conceived as stylish pieces to be worn beyond the restaurant, turning brand elements into everyday lifestyle staples.
