
How do you bring the Portuguese terroir to life with a fresh perspective?
Churchill’s launched Contexto, a new brand of wines created for international markets. The ambition was to represent the essence of Portuguese terroir while bringing freshness and youthful energy to the brand.
The visual identity was built around bold cutout forms, inspired by elements that symbolize the wine regions: the flow of the Douro river, the sunset over the mountains, and the vibrant shapes of local flora. This graphic language adds immediacy and character to the brand, making it approachable yet deeply rooted in place.
The logo was designed to feel deliberately unpolished and structured, striking a balance between spontaneity and authenticity. The identity system unfolds seamlessly across packaging and communication touchpoints, giving Contexto a cohesive yet playful presence that connects with a new generation of wine lovers.
